Mass Cement Factory / 6 MTY / Iraq

Establishment and Location:
The Mass Cement Factory in Iraq was established in 2008 in Bazian, Sulaymaniyah Governorate, Iraq, approximately 30 kilometers west of Sulaymaniyah city. The factory comprises three highly similar production lines.
The production line equipment is sourced from well-known Chinese and European manufacturers, including:
- Pfeiffer (Germany)
- CMD gearboxes (France)
- Haver & Boecker (Germany)
- Pillard
The factory utilizes the dry production method with preheating technology.

Production Capacity and Products:
The factory has an annual production capacity of 6 million tons and produces three types of cement:
- Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC)
- High Sulfate-Resistant Portland Cement
- High Initial Strength Cement for Blocks.

Timeline of Operations:
- First production line: Began operations in early 2010.
- Second production line: Started in August 2011.
- Third production line: Became operational in March 2013.
Production capacity has been steadily increased to meet the local market demand for this strategic material, essential for construction and rebuilding efforts in Iraq, particularly after years of wars and instability. The factory’s products are distributed nationwide across northern, central, and southern Iraq, enjoying a stellar reputation for quality.

Quality Assurance and Standards:
The factory's products exceed the specifications outlined in Iraqi Standard No. 5 of 2019 due to:
- The use of advanced technologies.
- Excellent raw materials.
- Comprehensive quality control in both the factory’s laboratories and Mass Company’s laboratories.
- Regular sampling and monitoring by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, which has issued several letters of appreciation to the company.

Environmental Commitment:
The factory places great emphasis on minimizing its environmental impact:
High-efficiency bag filters are used to prevent the release of solid particulates into the atmosphere.
Wastewater is treated in a dedicated treatment unit and recycled for irrigation and agricultural purposes.
A significant portion of the factory's land is landscaped with trees, shrubs, flowers, and natural grass, transforming the site into a park-like environment and reshaping the perception of cement factories.

Certifications
The factory is ISO 9001:2015 certified for meeting the required quality management standards.
